[Essentially placeholder text whee:
Mako and Raleigh move to Japan primarily on the basis of Mako's engineering background to reconstruct a power grid for the new city rebuild. Raleigh's brain concentrates more on boots-on-the-ground kind of stuff: building a porch for the tiny-ass house they're living in, etc etc. He has received numerous invitations for boxing/fighting matches being held different places - all haphazard, but the one he accepts earlier this day is more of an exhibition hanbo sparring thing held in the neighborhood.
Basically, Raleigh's not home when Mako gets home, and when he does he will be all sweaty. Go!]

When she sinks down onto him, the tiniest breath leaves her, a whimper of a sigh.

(There was a while where they couldn't be this way - healing and publicity and all the things between them. Not anymore.)
Even the lessened sensation in his left arm feels alive and sparking, watching her.

(They may spend their entire lives trying to get back to the intimacy of the Drift, but this is not a bad alternative.)
She leans down, her forehead nudging his as their hips collide, ease apart, come together again.

But then Raleigh feels the need to speed up, to press in and up and more - and there's that moan again, accentuated with a couple repeated "Fuck" here and there. He slows down slightly, but doesn't stop.

The bedsheet wrinkles beneath her hand when she clutches it tightly, giving herself over, quaking as she nears completion.

Out of his mouth before Raleigh even knows he said it.

If she hears it (and she does), she doesn't answer him right away - not until her body goes taut, vibrating, sparking like steel being forged.
She ignites from within, and it feels as though a little of the fire passes through her to him when her mouth finds his lazily in the aftermath.

"Not shower?"
At the moment, however, his chest makes a very good pillow.

"It is not a bad smell."
And now the both of them are sweaty, so who really notices?

-- But must have just gotten an idea, by his expression.
"Or I could shower, and we can eat food naked and watch the telescreen for a while."

She pauses, as if needing to think about it.
"Or we could shower."
It's possible the food may require reheating.

That might be a 'yes'.

"You question my intentions?"
Which are nothing but honorable.
Clearly.

But she kisses him first before sliding off him, disappearing into the adjoining washroom.

(The udon is practically glacial by the time they get to it.)

"How was your day?"

"I will."
They both know her schedule, but she won't pass up the opportunity to see him.
She curls her toes against his leg, a subtle dig.

Raleigh snaps a chopstick against Mako's knee.
"It might be a good release from your current occupation."

Have we forgotten who was originally leading before the Marshal called a stop?
no subject
Raleigh does.
Clearly.
"...Maybe that's a thing I could do, though."
